Due to exciting growth within the compliance sector, an excellent opportunity is available to join Groundwork Plus, a long established resource, environmental and land use consultancy specialising in the quarry, environmental and mining sectors.
In this role you will have the ability to review conditions against a licence (environmental and operational), conduct onsite environmental monitoring and report on outcomes against a standard.
As a Project Officer you will:
Work within a team of consultants to assist clients with demonstrating compliance against various approval requirements
Have a willingness to learn and undertake environmental monitoring
Develop compliance reports in accordance with statutory regulations
Assist with the upload and management of our internal environmental monitoring and compliance database (GPlus Live).
About you:
Desired experience / requirements:
Ability to assess performance against a standard set of conditions
Experience in report writing (word) with a high attention to detail
Strong communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills
Willingness to learn new skill sets and show initiative
Ability to work within a safe work environment.
There is no expectation you will have previous quarrying and/or mining experience however a willingness to learn is essential. Experience in quarrying and/or related fields such as wineries and agriculture will be highly regarded.
